Meet the team

Simon Walkling
Chair
Simon is a United Reformed Church Minister serving as the Regional Minister for Swansea and Llanelli, based in Christ Well. He also chairs the Christ Well Community Project Trustees and the Swansea Churches in Community Steering Group.
Simon previously served as the Synod Moderator for the URC in Wales and as a local minister in a St David’s Uniting Local Ecumenical Partnership in Pontypridd and in Christ Church URC, Rhyl.
He is an accredited member of the Association of Pastoral Supervision & Education and a trained Appreciative Inquiry practitioner. Simon lives with his wife Sue having moved to Swansea in 2023 and sings top tenor with Swansea Male Voice Choir.

Adella Pritchard
Community Minister
Adella is a Community Minister working with the members of Christ Well Church in connection with:
· Green issues and the A Rocha Eco Church Award, plus the beginnings of Ecommunity, a church and community group looking at green issues in the community.
· Sanctuary issues and co-leading Activity Mornings for local asylum seekers and refugee families in the area
· Co-leading a church & community group called Tea & Chat for people over 50
· Working in Partnership with Cae Rowland Community Group by supporting the Cae Rowland Food Pantry.
Adella also works with the charity Unity in Diversity and supports 2 other churches on the area of Green Issues.
Adella has been in community ministry with the URC since 1999, serving in Pennfields, Wolverhampton and Winson Green, Birmingham before settling in Swansea. Her interests include holistic spirituality and disability inclusion alongside her community development work.
Adella lives with husband Alan and dog Seal and having moved to Swansea in 2019 is still enjoying getting to know the wider area.

Carol Pople-Baker
Administrator
Carol works as the administrator for Christ Well and supports the work of the Project. She is the welcoming face in the building from Tuesday to Thursday and the first point of contact for hiring the building. She helps to accommodate the needs of organisations using the building.
She has been our administrator since 2018.
